Job Description
Basic Experience Requirements One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-12 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience in performing accounting work related to the design, development, testing, evaluation and implementation of new and/or modified systems and to participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures, analyzing user requirements, and solving accounting systems problems in difficult circumstances. 2. Experience in preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting records and financial reports to assure activities meet operational, legislative, and regulatory requirements. 3. Experience in providing support to a diverse group of internal and external customers utilizing knowledge of accounting systems and accounting practices and working with cross-functional teams towards a common goal. Knowledge of financial management, fiscal and accounting theories, concepts, principles, and procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles. 2. Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate automated or manual accounting and financial management systems. 3. Ability to develop guidance, memoranda, procedures and instructions with cover the full spectrum of accounting and financial management issues. 4. Ability to interpret complex financial and accounting data and provide appropriate analysis for management's use in decision making. 5. Ability to assist management in applying data and recommends alternatives to resolve difficult problems.
