Job Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will perform a variety of technical, administrative, and programmatic analyses of supplier industrial processes. Location of position: GSA; Federal Acquisition Service (FAS); Office of Shared Services Delivery; Office of Fleet Management; Fleet Supplier Service Center; Supplier Management and Compliance Division. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $90,968.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing a variety of technical, administrative, and programmatic analyses of industrial processes and quality assurance activities in the automotive industry to include: Performing onsite evaluation of contractor systems and processes to make recommendations of root cause analysis and/or corrective action responses to foster continuous improvement in supply chain. Performing quality assurance reviews to ensure the design intent is reflected in the final production of contracted items (such as commercial and non-standard automotive vehicles). Preparing pre-award report (PAR) after conducting pre-award assessment with prospective contractors (bidders) to support the initiation of formal contractual actions. Analyzing supplier performance and contract compliance to report technical recommendations to senior leadership.
