In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as conducting water quality and habitat analyses; supporting water quality protection and habitat restoration/conservation, including high priority initiatives; and advising leadership, technical staff, and the public on water and habitat issues. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Grants Management Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines Scientific Research Technical Knowledge (Related to Position)* Data Literacy and Analysis Scientific Integrity Accountability Quality Assurance Applications and Programs (Related to Position) Critical Thinking* Environmental Pollutants and Hazards* Biological Science Environmental Engineering Physical Science *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies.
