Job Summary

This is an OPEN CONTINOUS ANNOUNCEMENT, applications will be accepted until January 15, 2027 or until vacancies are filled. This position is located in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Administration, Office of the Chief Operations Officer, Mail and Logistics Management Division, Remote Delivery Site and work is performed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician responsible for receiving, stocking, and inspecting supplies.

Job Description

ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. You may qualify at the GS-07 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates: 1) Interpreting and applying federal guidelines for supply and property management; 2) Receiving, inspecting, and stocking supplies; processing and inventorying customer requisitions for supplies; 3) Performing surveys of offices to determine manpower and transportation requirements to deliver or remove property; and 4) Utilizing various automated systems to annotate stock. Physical Requirements: The incumbent must possess a valid driver's license and must be able to successfully operate a box truck NTE GVW of 26,000 lbs., minivan, sports utility vehicle, industrial equipment and MHE equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks). The incumbent must complete a pre-employment physical and be able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more repeatedly. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
