This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for Technical lead for enterprise RDBMS design, deployment, and admin in secure cloud (e.g., AWS GovCloud); planned on-prem to cloud migrations; designed automated backup/recovery/HA/monitoring; optimized performance via diagnostics and query tuning; implemented NIST/DISA STIG security controls and vulnerability remediation.

Job Description

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Serving as a technical lead for the design, deployment, and ongoing administration of enterprise Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) in a secure cloud environment (such as AWS GovCloud); Planning database migrations from on-premises systems to cloud-hosted infrastructure; Designing automated database backup, recovery, high availability, and real-time monitoring solutions; Conducting complex database performance diagnostics, profiling, and query optimization to remediate operational bottlenecks; Implementing federal or enterprise cyber security controls, vulnerability assessments, and remediation plans (e.g., NIST, DISA STIGs, or equivalent security frameworks). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
