Job Description
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Develop, monitor and implement financial management systems and accounting procedures initiate and implement new methods which improve financial management of FMS programs worldwide Prepare and/or coordinates on proposed legislation, policies, regulations, and procedures related to the financial management of, and financial controls established for the Financial Management System (FMS) programs identifies areas of policy and financial management for process improvement, reengineering, and enterprise integration Lead periodic financial management reviews hosting joint service teams and senior foreign officials to review all pertinent financial matters relating to the country's FMS programs for FMS programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional Information: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Selectee or incumbent must be able to obtain the appropriate certification level for their position. This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. IAW Public Law 112-81 and DoD Policy the incumbent shall comply with the requirements of DoD FM Certification program within the allotted time frame. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2017, Title 10 United States Code, Section 384 and Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0 requirements.
