Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all facility services required for the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA), with a primary focus on its foundry and laboratory operations.
Job Description
You may qualify at the NH-03 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH - 02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service: Planning and executing installation/site services and support functions for laboratory operations, including infrastructure planning, facilitization, maintenance, and integration of structural, safety, and environmental requirements; Interfacing with internal and external customers concerning laboratory operations services and support requirements, as well as with contractors, assuring all services are responsive and adequate to customer needs; Managing GSA-leased space projects and facilities maintenance programs for laboratories, office spaces, gym facilities, and other special-purpose facilities, including planning and developing preventive maintenance program; Conducting surveillance over construction and maintenance operations performed by private contractors, review project plans/specifications for workability, inform contractors of compliance requirements, and oversee operations for conformance; Estimating material and labor costs for diverse construction or maintenance projects (including brick, frame, structural steel, and reinforced concrete), direct actual work operations, and maintain coordination with GSA, Contracting, Finance, and Legal offices. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
