Job Description

To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience are identified in the Major Duties section of this vacancy announcement and may also include: Administers, coordinates, and controls the movement and management of wholesale assets positioned at various locations to support special exercises. Implements ways to reduce significant barriers in the inventory accuracy program to improve business practices and provide quality customer support. Directs the work performed by administrative and support position within the depot to assure the accuracy and accountability of inventory documents and support systems which affects all aspects of the Distribution and Supply management processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
