Job Summary

This position is part of the Defense Travel Management Office within the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for the development and execution of effective stakeholder communication, engagement, and change management strategies that support DoD travel programs and foster relationships with Government and industry stakeholders to enable the Defense Travel Management Office to accomplish its mission.

Job Description

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Successful development and execution of strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and digital media strategies and plans that reach globally dispersed audiences and utilize a wide range of communication vehicles to support a commercial travel enterprise. Successful design and facilitation of change management strategies that support the execution of commercial travel programs, (e.g., lodging, air travel, car rental or travel management companies), and create buy-in for strategic initiatives, and include the development, implementation, evaluation, and modifying of change management plans to ensure success. Extensive experience with managing websites that use the Armed Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS) website hosting platform. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
