Job Summary
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the application of DOD/DHRA policies, procedures, and practices concerning Equal Employment Opportunity complaint processing and Internal Controls for the organization. Coordinates with DoD personnel at all levels in the EEO complaint process to identify barriers to efficient complaint processing.
Job Description
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Applying mastery of EEO laws and regulations to provide authoritative advice on the complaint process, ensure DoD-wide policy compliance, and lead process improvement initiatives. Exercising executive leadership as the deciding official on all personnel actions, developing long[1]range strategic plans, and briefing senior leaders on organizational performance. Directing a directorate's internal operations and program sustainment, including recruitment, employee development, quality management, and the establishment of internal controls. Utilizing strategic thinking to develop long-range plans, align directorate goals with agency objectives, and devise innovative solutions to eliminate systemic barriers. Performing supervisory and management duties by directing work through subordinate supervisors, evaluating their performance, and resolving complex technical and personnel problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
