Job Summary
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity, Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for performing Information Assurance (IA) computer-related duties and administration associated with the DMDC central local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructures including ensuring the efficient integration between systems as well as compatibility of related applications and systems.
Job Description
You may qualify at the GS 13 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Oversee Information Assurance (IA) duties that ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of information cybersecurity programs, policies, procedures and tools. Manage security reviews of application designs, software development, source code and deployments; conduct systems security evaluations, audits and reviews. Managing a small team performing Cybersecurity functions, providing advice, counsel, and instructions of both technical and administrative matters to the defense of the Department of War Information Network (DOWIN). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
