Job Summary

This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for Supporting the DMDC Information Protection Directorate Director (as Deputy Director). Institute processes for planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting remedial action to address any cybersecurity deficiencies in policies, procedures, and practices.

You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 14 grade level in the Federal service: Oversees all Information Protection (IP) elements and contractors that are responsible for Cybersecurity, Privacy, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Information Management. Serve as a strategic leader in developing and monitoring agency multi-year plans to support portfolio management and strategic alignment. As a supervisor oversee and monitor subordinate's work assignments, work schedules, and reconcile conflicts and priorities. Responsible for developing and implementing an information security program, which includes procedures and policies designed to protect enterprise communications, systems, and assets from both internal and external threats Expertise in Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing, and current key Departmental initiatives include DoD Identity Management, Zero Trust and DEVSECOPS implementations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 2210, series as listed below: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
