Job Summary
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will serve as the Associate Director overseeing the Classification and Compensation Branch.
Job Description
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Developing and implementing Federal Civilian Human Resources Employment and Compensation policies that provide for recruitment, staffing, placement, compensation and classification of the civilian workforce. Serving as subject matter expert providing technical advisory services on federal civilian Human Resources staffing related subjects to include classification and compensation. Analyzing statues, government-wide regulations, and National Defense Authorization (NDAA) requirements to translate law and regulation into actionable program policies and services. Preparing and presenting briefs, information papers, as well as legislative proposals and reports to responding to high-level inquiries. Exercising full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities and responsibilities in directing work of subordinate employees, facilitating timely and quality customer service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
