Job Summary

As a Program Analyst reporting to the DASW (Nuclear Matters) Director, the incumbent independently develops and recommends Directorate and OUSW(A&S) positions on Nuclear Programs. The analyst conducts strategic readiness assessments to identify logistics, maintenance, and infrastructure gaps. By formulating resource-informed technical solutions, they provide authoritative data to support executive decisions at the NWC and NDF.

You may qualify at the NH-03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the (NH-III or GS-11) grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to orchestrating collaboration to evaluate complex systems for performance and interoperability, authoring strategic roadmaps to influence Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes, and executing capability-based risk assessments to monitor portfolio cost, schedule, and performance. Providing technical and staff support on systems engineering objectives, design, and policy across ground, maritime, aerial, and satellite domains, while analyzing joint requirements and master plans to identify programmatic gaps and propose technology insertion options aligned with long-range goals. Serving as a principal action officer to review and provide expert commentary on statutory-directed studies, formulating department responses to reports and mandates, and drafting high-level testimony, information papers, and strategic briefings for senior leaders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
