Job Summary
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center - PDC in Fort Worth, Texas. The employee serves as a Paralegal Specialist, and works with attorneys in the processing, closing and disbursing of all disaster loans. Employee receives work assignments and general direction and supervision from the Assistant Center Director-Accounts / Deputy Assistant Center Director-Accounts, or their designee.
Job Description
GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Providing customer service by responding to internal or external customer inquiries. Utilizing Microsoft Office applications or equivalent, such as Outlook, Word, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Access to produce documents. Reviewing residential or business loan documents for compliance within established statutes or regulations. Assisting borrowers with closing residential or business loans. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. GS-09: 2 academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a related field of study. OR Master's degree (or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D. as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements) directly related to the position such as Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or related fields of study. Education must be in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR A combination of education and experience. For example, 1 full year (18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level education in a related field of study (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.
