Job Summary

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Field Operations Center East - FOCE in Atlanta, GA. The Field Operations Specialist provides operational coordination, interagency liaison support, and field execution of disaster recovery activities to ensure timely and effective assistance to disaster survivors.

Specialized Experience: GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Implementing policies, guidelines, and/or procedures for a disaster or emergency program; AND Leading or overseeing team operations in the field; AND Planning and delivering employee training; AND Assessing the needs of an operational program and adapting the appropriate mix of resources and skills required to meet those needs. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. Education: There is no education substitution for this grade level. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Generally, time in non-pay status as a federal employee is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed above.
