Job Description
This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR). Applicants must meet either the education listed below or the specialized experience statements. To learn more about the qualifications requirement click here Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR Specialized Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: - Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). - Supervising or administering a training program. - Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. - Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. In addition to meeting the IOR above, applicants must demonstrate 52 weeks of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Applicants must meet 2 out of the 3 examples of specialized experience statements listed below. - Experience developing comprehensive curriculum, creating quality instructional materials, and delivering engaging training sessions. - Experience applying knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to develop and deliver effective training and education on benefits related topics. - Experience providing education and/or training on technical legal topics.
