Job Summary
This position is with the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Boston Regional Office, with duty location in Boston, MA. This position is at the full performance grade of GS-09. Position is outside the Bargaining Unit. Selectee will be expected to report to the office listed above.
Job Description
You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Staff Assistant, as described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. To qualify for the GS-09: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-07. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-09 includes having 3 of the statements below: Communicating with high ranking officials via email and over the phone; Providing logistical support for conferences/meetings; Reviewing and distributing incoming requests and assignments for an office; Using an electronic system to track and monitor assignments, and follow up on work in process to ensure deadlines are met. or Education: To qualify based on education applicants must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related. or A qualifying combination of education and competencies as described above.
