Job Description

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Installing, configuring, and administrating network switches, routers, and firewalls; 2) Maintaining and upgrading network infrastructure hardware and software; and 3) Troubleshooting and resolving network system problems to support the organization. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Installing, configuring, and administrating network switches, routers, and firewalls; 2) Maintaining, upgrading, and securing network infrastructure hardware and software; 3) Conducting operational analysis and performance monitoring of the network infrastructure for optimum configuration; and 4) Troubleshooting and resolving network system problems to support the organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
