Job Summary

As a Supervisory Equal Opportunity Investigator (Field Office Director) at the GS-1860-15, you will be part of the Philadelphia District Office, Office of Field Programs, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). If selected, you will be responsible for the implementation of all the Commission's programs and mission requirements within the jurisdiction of the Field Office.

Job Description

To Qualify for the GS-15: You must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience in: Enforcing federal employment discrimination laws. Applying laws, regulations, procedures and policies pertaining to Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Equal Pay Act (EPA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). Leading the development and implementation of annual work plans or objectives for a team or unit. Applicants must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date specified in the vacancy announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This is a Schedule Policy/Career position. Schedule Policy/Career is an excepted service schedule for career positions that are of a confidential, policy-determining, policy-making, or policy-advocating character (policy-influencing positions) as defined by Executive Order 13957, as amended, and 5 C.F.R. § 213.3601. Schedule Policy/Career positions are not required to personally or politically support the current President or the policies of the current administration.
