Job Description

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks: Working from schematics and technical data. repairs. modifies, tests, adjusts and calibrates electronic systems such as countermeasure navigation computer systems, radar direction finders, IFF, sound amplifiers and interphone systems as either as individual units or combined systems and drone guidance and stabilization systems; Troubleshoots problems encountered by checking all circuits and systems involved by operating equipment or portions or the systems on both ground and aircraft power; Determines corrective measures to be taken when problems are identified in the systems; Required to make functional tests, interpret and apply a wide variety of technical data, evaluate operational characteristics by observing and analyzing display data, waveforms, voltage/current/power, instrument readings, physical operations of mechanical displacement of aircraft control surfaces and antennas, etc. on such systems as electronic counter measure, secured data transmission, tactical data systems, communication and navigation systems, search radar, inertial navigation systems, etc. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/federal-wage-system-qualifications/#url=WG-2600 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
