Job Summary
There is an anticipated vacancy for the position of ATTORNEY ADVISOR (GENERAL) in the JUDGE ADVOCATE DIVISION (JAD) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate: Providing expert-level legal counsel on Title 10 U.S.C. military personnel law, including officer and enlisted misconduct and administrative separations. Evaluating and interpreting complex federal regulations, administrative laws, and government ethics policies. Experience managing or leading a legal team in a high-volume environment (e.g., managing hundreds of administrative actions or litigation files annually). Drafting and reviewing legislative proposals or high-level policy documents for senior executive or flag-level leadership Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desired): The ideal candidate will also possess: Experience directly supervising and managing a team of attorneys and legal support staff. Experience in federal civil litigation involving military personnel or administrative law. Experience developing and conducting legal training for attorneys and other legal professionals. Experience working within the Judge Advocate General's Corps of one of the military services.
