Job Description
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/11 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate all of the following: Utilizing / using understanding of electro-optical systems and their development, testing, integration, production, and sustainment at a journey-level, (This includes understanding detector and read-out integrated circuit (ROIC) assembly and function, optical window and lens material properties, laser theory and system design, image and signal processing techniques, and modeling and simulation of electro-optic and infrared (EO/IR) systems); Working autonomously and with groups as need to conduct research and utilize modeling tools to solve complex problems and help inform design decisions for electro-optical systems; Operating as part of a dynamic team supporting various and/or special projects as assigned/needed.
