Job Description

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks: Modifies and repairs structural parts of aircraft and skin surfaces of wings, fuselages, air foils, frames, ribs, bulkheads, tail sections, cow lings, fairings and panels working from blueprints, technical directives, verbal instructions and established composite rework procedures; Examines damaged areas, both structural and nonstructural, to determine sequence of operations necessary for repair or replacement; Disassembles fastened and bonded surfaces according to prescribed composite technique; Makes structural airframe repairs and installs them by means of fasteners and/or bonded, composite materials; Uses appropriate sealants and adhesives as required Fabricates and makes structural repairs to metal and laminated type structures by bolted or bonded constructions as composite rework technology dictates.
