Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform the duties of a Materials Handler as demonstrated by experience, working under normal supervision, such as: 1) Receiving, selecting, storing, stacking, and rotating materials under the first in first out (FIFO) concept using common hand tools and materials handling equipment; 2) Scanning bar codes and/or inputting receipt information into automated record systems; 3) Re-warehousing and consolidating materials as directed; 4) Reading warehouse plans; 5) Ensuring materials data is correct on materials to be stored against currently stored materials in the warehouse locations; 6) Correcting discrepancies or ensuring corrective action is taken; 7) Transporting or forwarding materials from the receiving areas to storage locations; 8) Annotating and signing receiving and other control documents, verifying items listed match items received.
