Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Professional Mechanical Engineering work involving the knowledge and application of the science of mechanical engineering theories, concepts, principles, processes and methods related to construction projects. This involves the design, evaluation, development, operation and maintenance of different mechanical systems and equipment in support of the sustainment, modernization, and restoration (SMR) for petroleum, oils, and lubricant (POL) facilities. Examples of specialized experience include the following:1) Performing inspection, testing, surveying, and maintenance of mechanical systems, operations and facilities;2) Preparing or reviewing plans and specifications for mechanical system projects and/or basic facility construction/repair/maintenance projects;3) Providing surveillance of maintenance/repair and construction contract submittals related to facility projects that include basic repair and maintenance projects to large scale construction projects;4) Inspecting various industrial facilities and construction sites to identify discrepancies and obtain solutions;5) Ensuring compliance with Federal, state and local laws, codes, stands, and criteria while meeting contract requirements.
