Job Description

To qualify for an Industrial Specialist (General), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Assessing contractor supply chain management and contractor manufacturing operations Developing and executing supplier surveillance plans to mitigate contract schedule risk and inform customers of potential delay Performing industrial surveys and assessments of production capacity and capabilities; identifying areas of deficiency or non-compliance and recommending corrective action Using automated systems such as MOCAS that pays contracts issued to defense contractors. ADDITIONAL OVERSEAS INFORMATION: On this accompanied tour, educational opportunities for dependent children of employees assigned to DCMA Northern Europe are extremely inadequate. DoDDs does not currently have any school located within the Samlesbury commuting area. Current DoDDs policy dictates that Kindergarten through Grade 5 attend British local schools. Grade 6 through Grade 12 students are eligible in the Samlesbury area. Options available to employees with school age children are: 1) Enroll the student in a British local school system; 2) Enroll the student in a private British school or 3) Enroll the student in a home school program. Enrollment is not automatic or guaranteed with any school. Please contact the DCMA Northern Europe MSO for specific information or specific questions. For OCONUS positions, that country's laws or international agreements may have a direct impact on the ability of an employee's same sex domestic partner or spouse to accompany the employee and receive certain benefits. Military spouses working remotely are exempt from in-person work under the conditions explained by OPM's February 12, 2025 memorandum and the March 20, 2025 Frequently Asked Questions ADDITIONAL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: For Military Spouse/Family Preference for Overseas Employment: You must submit a copy of PCS Orders which include the specific location to which the member is assigned, reassigned, or transferred to, the effective date of the permanent change of station, and a statement authorizing the spouse to accompany the member to the permanent duty station (if the spouse is not listed on the orders, then a command sponsorship letter must be submitted). If your spouse's DEROS has been extended you must submit documentation to reflect your current DEROS. A copy of your marriage certificate or license is also required. If applicable, you should also include any Veterans' preference documentation, transcripts, SF-50's and most recent performance appraisal.
