You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) answering emergency and non-emergency calls within a centralized public safety communications center; 2) dispatching appropriate police, fire or emergency medical assets using computer-aided dispatch capabilities; and 3) assisting with performing crisis intervention with distraught callers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GS-06).
