About the Position: This is a Animal Health Technician (Equine) position with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, located in Fort Myer, Virginia. Licensed Veterinary Technician, Certified Veterinary Technician, Registered Veterinary Technician or Equivalent Licensure is preferred.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-8 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Direct work with equine on a farm or ranch. 2) provide veterinary technical support to the equine veterinarians; 3) maintaining equine medical records; AND 4) Performing equine handling to ensure standard care. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08)
