Job Summary

Serves as technical advisor to the DCIO(CS) for Cryptographic Modernization and Communications Security (COMSEC) focusing specifically on DoW COMSEC programs by providing oversight and guidance for COMSEC, Cryptographic Modernization, Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Information Systems Security (INFOSEC), Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), and other CS, IA and acquisition programs within the DoW CIO's Portfolio.

You may qualify at the GG-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GG-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in 1) Performing advanced cybersecurity, communications security (COMSEC), and information assurance (IA) work in support of organizational or enterprise cybersecurity objectives; 2) Supporting the analysis, development, and interpretation of cybersecurity and COMSEC-related policies, standards, and guidance; and 3) Resolving complex cybersecurity and cryptographic issues by evaluating technical and policy alternatives, assessing impacts and risks, and developing well-supported recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
