About the Position: As a construction control representative, at the full performance level you will be responsible for assigned function of surveillance, wide-scope monitoring, inspection of civil works, military construction, interagency projects including construction of flood control structure, environmental mitigation, testing structures, equipment installation, water treatment plants, mechanical, and electrical components.

Specialized experience: For the GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in one (1) or more of the following: (1) assisting with review of construction plans and specifications; (2) assisting in providing field measurements, computations, and first-hand information of site conditions; (3) documenting daily construction activities; (4) assisting in preparing pay estimates for contractor work; (5) enforcing industry and safety standards, and (6) reviewing and monitoring construction schedules for contract compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). For the GS-08: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in two (2) or more of the following: (1) assisting with review of construction plans and specifications; (2) assisting in providing field measurements, computations, and first-hand information of site conditions; (3) documenting daily construction activities; (4) assisting in preparing pay estimates for contractor work; (5) enforcing industry and safety standards, and (6) reviewing and monitoring construction schedules for contract compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). For the GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in three (3) or more of the following: (1) assisting with review of construction plans and specifications; (2) assisting in providing field measurements, computations, and first-hand information of site conditions; (3) documenting daily construction activities; (4) assisting in preparing pay estimates for contractor work; (5) enforcing industry and safety standards, and (6) reviewing and monitoring construction schedules for contract compliance. For the GS-10: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in four (4) or more of the following: (1) assisting with review of construction plans and specifications; (2) assisting in providing field measurements, computations, and first-hand information of site conditions; (3) documenting daily construction activities; (4) assisting in preparing pay estimates for contractor work; (5) enforcing industry and safety standards, and (6) reviewing and monitoring construction schedules for contract compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). For the GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in five (5) or more of the following: (1) reviewing construction plans and specifications; (2) providing field measurements, computations, and first-hand information of site conditions; (3) documenting daily construction activities; (4) preparing pay estimates for contractor work; (5) enforcing industry and safety standards, and (6) reviewing and monitoring construction schedules for contract compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
