About the Position: As an Administrative Support Assistant for the Mat Sinking Unit, you will organize and accomplish all clerical and administrative functions support of a large river revetment unit. NOTE: The duty location of this position is wherever the Mat Sinking Unit is located. NOTE: Incumbent will live on the quarter boat during Revetment season, approximately 50% of the time. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes, (1) procuring supplies, equipment, and/or materials for an office/organization; (2) performing tasks concerned with purchases, incentive awards, training, travel, timekeeping, records management, and correspondence; (3) communication skills to interact with supervisors and other staff; and (4) requesting personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
