Job Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Engineering Technician administering service contracts for the project office and Monitors dam, rim dikes, berms, and abutments for signs of stress in accordance with the requirements of the Dam Safety Plan.

GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing contract performance statements and evaluating contractor performance and monitoring contract budgets/schedules OR assisting in developing contract specifications and evaluating bids. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). GS-08 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes conducting preliminary reviews of contract performance statements; tracking and maintaining data for contract budgets and schedules; OR drafting standard contract specifications and compiling bid documentation for evaluation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes assisting in the review of contract performance statements; compiling data to help monitor contract budgets and schedules; OR performing routine tasks to support the development of contract specifications and the processing of bids. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
