This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Construction Control Representative GS-0809-12 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Tulsa District, Hydropower Resident Office. Duty Location is Cowlington, OK at the R.S. Kerr Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service by performing quality assurance inspections on construction projects to ensure work and materials comply with contract plans/specifications, and meeting at least 2 out three duties as follow; 1) Assisting in the administration of construction contracts by reviewing payment estimates, and contractor work quality and performance; OR 2) assisting with evaluation of requests for contract modifications; OR 3) Monitoring contractor compliance with safety plans and guidance. Note: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
