Basic Requirement for General Engineer or Civil Engineer https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/files/all-professional-engineering-positions-0800.pdf OR Basic Requirement for Architect https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/architecture-series-0808/ In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) responsible for engineering functions required for a construction program which consists of design, procurement, and construction of large-scale projects; 2) coordinate and conduct quality assurance for engineering design and construction projects; and 3) provide technical advice in developing and executing policies, procedures, and criteria of design and construction for civil and/or military facility programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-13. Selective Placement Factor: Professional registration as a licensed Professional Architect or Professional Engineer is required for this position.
