You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement in experience --no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1)Managing a comprehensive financial management program for a large and complex organization, to include overseeing budget formulation and execution, accounting, and financial analysis; 2)Supervising a multi-functional staff of financial professionals, which includes setting priorities, assigning work, and managing the full range of personnel and performance management actions; 3) Providing authoritative financial advice and recommendations to senior leadership on the allocation of resources, the impact of regulatory changes, and strategies for optimizing financial performance; AND 4) Developing or implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal control systems to ensure compliance with appropriation law and achieve mission objectives.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Financial Management Leadership Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
