Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: providing construction oversight and quality assurance on major civil works navigation structures (e.g., locks, dams). This experience must demonstrate the application of heavy civil, industrial, and commercial construction methods, including direct involvement with critical lift activities and the installation of heavy precast concrete segments for river-based structures using floating plant equipment. Additionally, you must have a thorough knowledge of, and experience enforcing, construction safety requirements specific to working in extreme river conditions. Must also demonstrate proficiency in using construction management software, such as the Resident Management System (RMS), for project tracking and administration. B. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
