Note: Professional Engineering or Architecture license is desired: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting construction design criteria and instruction to approve designs, specification, shop drawings, man-hour estimates, special reports, and studies; collaborating with customers to determine project requirements, define quality expectations and resolve technical issues; assisting with making recommendations on major changes in organizational structure to achieve the best possible mix of reducing operating costs and to assure program effectiveness to include introduction of labor saving devices such as automated processes; mentoring both civilian and military personnel in their career development planning; and leading teams to direct, coordinate and manage the work of other employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Design Engineering & Construction Acquisition Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
