This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a principal member of the Structural Branch as a senior-level Explosives Safety Specialist as an action officer for management of explosives safety projects and programs within the Explosives Safety Mandatory Center of Expertise (MCX).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and reviewing explosive safety site plans independently without supervision, researching and recommending explosive safety criteria for Army and DoD, and conducting mishap investigations to determine root cause and develop corrective action processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
