Job Summary

You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic for the Southeast Idaho National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Hamer, ID. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

Job Description

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Resumes must demonstrate experience, education, and/or training, that you possess the ability to perform as a Maintenance Mechanic, WG-4749-09 duties. Examples of work may include: Performing maintenance, repair, construction, and troubleshooting duties across multiple trades. Maintaining and repairing vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engines; operating heavy equipment for earth-moving and land management work; and safely using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Reading and applying blueprints and technical instructions, completing preventive maintenance, maintaining tools and equipment, following safety procedures, documenting maintenance actions, and carrying out projects. Failure to meet this screen-out element will result in an ineligible rating. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
