Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of administrative and support services essential to the operation of Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) Chattanooga Area Service (CAS). The organization has over 300 healthcare professionals located in one of five geographically dispersed medical facilities. The CAS healthcare delivery system includes clinical, ancillary, support, and administrative services which provides care and healthcare management to over 30,000 Veterans.

Job Description

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/25/2026. GS-06 Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as: Making appointments, arranging conferences, and meetings Collecting information and assembling files Compose letters and reports accurately Prepares personnel actions for appointments, resignations, transfers, re-alignments, promotions, etc. Maintain inventory of office and medical supplies and equipment Proficiency Requirement: In addition to meeting time in grade and experience requirements, applicants for this position must show possession of the following skills: 40 words per minute typing speed.
