Job Summary
The primary purpose of the position is to ensure supplies and materials are distributed to all areas service by Logistics. Leads three or more employees in the distribution area to provide wards, clinics, operating rooms, secondary storage locations, and other hospital facilities with supplies and material including, but not limited to, sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instruments sets, and equipment.
Job Description
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/07/2025. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this Lead Supply Technician position. Specialized experience includes: Distributing supplies and materials, including sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instrument sets and equipment, to all areas of the facility; scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distribution of supplies and materials; assists in training new employees; maintains current knowledge and answers questions on procedures, policies, etc.; maintains stock by pulling stock, replenishing stock, and maintaining records on stock levels; monitors expiration dates and rotates stock; cleans assigned areas in accordance with aseptic principles; and receives supplies and material into the facility. Driver's License Requirement: Incumbent must possess a current, valid state-issued driver's license for this position. (Please do not submit a copy of your license with your application package.
