Job Summary

Serves as the primary Video Production Coordinator with backup responsibilities for print media. Serves as the primary Video Production Coordinator and provides photography video, audio visual support services, graphics, and products in support of administrative and public affairs purposes. Emphasis is on strong video and graphic design background to plan, coordinate and produce computer-generated video, electronic, graphic, photographic, presentation and print materials.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/17/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis. OR Specialized Experience: Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made (e.g. photography video, audio visual support services, graphics, computer-generated video, graphic, photographic, presentation and print materials) GRADE DETERMINATION GS-11 1. Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education at this grade level, you must have an advanced degree directly related to the duties of the position. PhD or equivalent doctoral degree, OR Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR, 2. Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experiences must meet all of the following: Designs/produces a wide variety of products in support of the communication initiatives using Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Illustrator; Manages staging of video and photo shoots (e.g. sound, lighting, set design, teleprompter); and Maintains facility library of all finished video products. OR, Combining Education and Experience. Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified. Preferred Experience: Operation of drones and FAA drone license. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing or recurring lifting or moving of moderately heavy items like cameras, lighting and moving large printers. This is typical of work involving personal production or installation of exhibits, setting up and tearing down of video shoot locations, illustration work "on location," or on-site inspection or supervision of one or more phases of the production of a visual product.
