This is a Without Compensation (WOC) Research Statistician Assistant position with the Office of Research and Development (ORD). Job Description
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/10/2026. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: All applicants must possess the following experience: Assisting in gathering and organizing statistical data from routine reporting sources, following established procedures and guidance. Performing basic reviews of source documents to check for completeness, obvious errors, and consistency with prior reports. Entering and updating statistical data in standard formats, making simple adjustments as instructed to ensure accuracy. Locating readily available data from primary and secondary sources and made straightforward comparisons to identify differences or changes. Performing simple statistical calculations using prescribed methods, such as totals, averages, and basic frequency counts, under close supervision. NOTE: Applicants must possess at least 3 out of the 5 experience points listed above. Any claimed experience must be documented on the applicant's resume to include the organization name, dates, and position title through which the experience was gained. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is predominantly sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there will be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of items of moderate weight such as large binders, banker style file boxes, meeting materials, papers, books or small parts. Hand and eye coordination for delicate testing procedures may be the only special physical demand required to perform the work.
