You will serve as a Supply Technician (Seasonal) Virgin Islands National Park. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Virgin Islands National Park is October through March but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-09/30/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. All candidates must also meet Time-in-Grade requirements. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. Failure to adequately provide information needed to determine number of hours worked in each position may result in that time not being credited when evaluating qualifying experience. For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected. Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as use of a computerized property management and control system, applied in at least one of the following ways: receiving, accounting for, and/or disposing of property; reviewing and correcting physical inventory data; performing and reporting on a periodic physical inventory; maintaining a warehouse and supply database; assisting with property-related internal controls. You must include hours worked per week. -OR- EDUCATION: successfully completed at least four years of post-high school education at an accredited business, secretarial, technical school, junior college, or college/university. If using education to qualify, you must provide transcripts. If selected, a copy of your official transcripts will be required before entrance on duty. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed post high school semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Please note: Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) may be used in this calculation. Add the two percentages. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must provide a copy of your transcripts. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
