This SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST position, is located in the Army National Guard (ARNG) Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ)/State, Territory, and District of Columbia Safety and Occupational Health Office and is part of the CA JFHQ Safety.

Job Description

SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST, GS-0018-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, in: performing periodic/unscheduled inspections of base facilities, warehouses, and equipment maintenance operations and evaluated compliance with applicable regulations and hazard system; experience recommending measures and methods to correct safety and occupational health deficiencies; experience participating in planning for testing of munitions, and assuring integration of explosive safety criteria in testing procedures; experience reviewing test implementation directives for inclusion of appropriate safety criteria; experience preparing supplements to regulations and manuals for aircraft weapons safety and developed local regulations defining applicable mishap prevention procedures.
