Job Summary
This Full-Time position is located at Beachwood Child Development Center (6wks-5yrs) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) For incentive information, please see additional information section.
Job Description
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. Resumes should not include photos. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position. - For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science. OR A combination of education and experience. Education: 24 semester hours in the majors stated above or a related field (see above), plus appropriate experience. Experience: Candidate must also possess all of the following: 1. Six months experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs. 2.Experience managing in a classroom setting within child and youth programs. 3.Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum. 4.Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar.
