Job Summary
This position is located at the CYS Child Development Center (6 wks-5 yrs), Sierra Army Depot, CA. Morale Welfare & Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses - See Additional Information for more details.
Job Description
A relocation incentive is available for this position not to exceed 25% of annual salary for a 2-year service term. The relocation incentive is in addition to payments authorized for PCS movement and is available to a current NAF employee accepting a Regular Full-Time position in a different geographic area requiring a PCS move. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should not include photos. Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to the qualifications listed below. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position. - For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science. AND Experience: ALL candidates must also possess all of the following: Minimum of 24 months experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstrated knowledge in theories and principals of child/youth development, which must include 12 months of demonstrated experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of a CYS facility to include budgeting, facility management, supply management, program development, program implementation, curriculum oversight, hiring selections, training and supervision of personnel.
