Job Summary

This position is located at Fort Jackson, SC. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week:: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Possess a high school diploma or GED Certificate. 2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and oral). 3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. 4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, and stoop and stand on a routine basis. 5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Possess and maintain a CDA/School Age/Youth Credential (including Boys and Girls Club of America)/Army Youth Practicum. 7. Possess twenty-four (24) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth. OR 1. Possess a high school diploma or GED Certificate. 2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and oral). 3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. 4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, and stoop and stand on a routine basis. 5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Possess twelve (12) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth. 7. Possess AA degree with major emphasis in childcare. OR 1. Possess a high school diploma or GED Certificate. 2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and oral). 3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. 4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, and stoop and stand on a routine basis. 5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Possess six (6) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth. 7. Possess BA/BS degree with a major emphasis on ECE, Elementary Education, Child Development, Home Economics, or Special Education.
