This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Department of the Interior (DOI). As a Vice President of University Operations you will be responsible for providing executive oversight and direction for essential operational functions, including facilities, grounds, custodial services, dining, safety, security and other university support services.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. GS-14 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level that includes: directing or overseeing diverse, organization-wide administrative and operational programs through subordinate supervisors; interpreting and implementing organizational policies, administrative requirements, and applicable laws or regulations, and coordinating with senior leaders, external organizations, and other stakeholders; overseeing acquisition, contracting, property management, resource allocation, and stewardship activities; managing or providing senior-level oversight of large-scale facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, construction, safety, security and related operational programs; evaluating organizational performance and using operational, financial, and resource information to develop recommendations, resolve complex problems, improve program effectiveness, and advise senior executives.
